Delta-8 THC is a synthetic substance–man-made and derived from hemp. While hemp became legal through the 2018 Farm Bill, this doesn't mean all hemp-derived products are safe. Delta-8 is sold in forms that look just like familiar marijuana products–vapes, edibles, oils, and more.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHT Navigating Middle School Years | |

Candor Health Education's Navigating Middle School Years is an engaging, scenario-based program designed for 5th and 6th graders. Through relatable stories and interactive discussions, students explore key topics such as self-advocacy, peer pressure, online safety, and responsible decision-making. By understanding the developing adolescent brain and practicing essential social-emotional skills, students build confidence to navigate the challenges of middle school.
This in-person program is ideal for school orientations, setting a positive tone for the new academic year. | |

Jenny GorszczykHealth Educator | |
Jenny joined Candor Health Education as a Health Educator in January of 2025. She received her Bachelor of Science in Health Education from Illinois State University. After graduating, she taught high school health, where her interest grew in health education and promotion.
So far in her career, Jenny is proud of coordinating a collaborative community health needs assessment and plan with three local hospitals, including 100 other partners, assisting living facilities, workplaces, and park districts to create tobacco-free policies, and training teens to become their own advocates to revise school policy to address vaping issues.
She is excited to be back to her health education roots here at Candor and loves working with kids and being a part of their day. | | | |
